Kathy Loomis is the President and Founder of Cyber Savvy, a company designed to provide parents and students with the skills and tools they need to effectively navigate the digital landscape.
The average American child owns a smartphone by age of ten and are clocking in 3 to 7 hours of screen time every day. Sadly, most of this screen time is unsupervised because parents don’t know how to engage in their children’s online worlds. This is one of the reasons that Kathy founded Cyber Savvy, a company whose mission is to provide parents with the tools and resources necessary to effectively and safely guide their children through the digital landscape.
A teacher at heart, Kathy passionately applied her leadership and tech savvy skills to create an incredible lineup of workshops for parents and students; which include topics ranging fromWhat to Know Before Giving Your Child a Smart DevicetoEffectively Managing Your Digital Reputation.Cyber Savvy also offers a Technology Services component, where qualified technicians meet one-on-one with parents to install and configure parental controls and cyber safety tools on smart devices. Cyber Savvy’s goal is to provide parents with immediately usable tools to help make their kids’ online worlds a safer place.
In founding Cyber Savvy, Kathy drew on the technology experience she developed as the current President and Co-founder of Synergy Network Solutions, a certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) specializing in permanent and contract placement of technology professionals. Kathy established Synergy in 1999 and its core competencies include Cyber Security, Development and Engineering.
Prior to co-founding Synergy, Kathy enjoyed a 10-year career with ADP, one of the world’s largest providers of business outsourcing solutions. Starting her ADP career in sales, Kathy quickly rose through the ranks and trained and lead teams of dynamic professionals in the Small Business, Major Accounts and National Accounts divisions.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from East Carolina University, a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Georgia State University, and a Cyber Security Leadership Certification from Georgia Institute of Technology.
